Dr. Ball was recommended to me by my wife and I’m glad she did. I found the entire staff positive, friendly and upbeat yet very professional. Dr. Ball was also very professional and personable. I left my appointment feeling very good about my experience and would have no problem recommending Dr. Ball and his staff to the best of my friends and family.

I just came from Dr. Ronald Jessup where I had been going for 20 years. Once he left and the practice changed ownership I knew it was time to find a new dentist. I had seen Dr. Ball before when he was with Dr. Jessup office and liked him. I knew as soon as I called the office and spoke with Tammy it was going to be the right place. I went in there today and was welcomed with open arms, the whole staff was amazing!! I found the the whole visit to be wonderful and you can watch TV too! I’m so glad to have found a new Dental home!

No one likes going to the dentist but this is one of the best, the staff (each and every single one of them) are friendly, make you feel very comfortable. Dr Ball is excellent with great “doctor/patient” communication skills. He does not make you feel rushed, and is compassionate with a nervous nelly like me! Tammy is awesome working front desk with such cheer! Maggie the hygienist was so patient with me, what a joy she is. I highly recommend this team for your dental needs!!

I know going to the dentist is never going to excite most of us. However, it is so important to take good care of your dental hygiene and this place is the best at doing so. Every single person that works there is so friendly and knowledgeable. I think Dr. Ball is kind, funny and professional and not like most dentists that make you dread going for dental work. Happy that I have found my dentist for all future visits and issues!

Everyone at this office is amazing. They are friendly and understanding. The hygenist Heather and Dr Ball have helped my teeth improve so much in such a short period of time. I was nervous after having avoided dentists for years because I was so embarassed about my teeth and gums. But now I have never felt better about it!

Had a visit with Dr. Ball yesterday to get a couple of chipped fillings repaired and rebuilt. As usual, he and his staff were absolutely “AMAZING”. He was so detailed and precise that I actually apologized for taking so much of his time. His reply…”Don’t be sorry, that’s why you came here.” You hit the nail on the head there Dr. Ball. I remember the way you treated me at my old Dentist office before you branched out on your own. Your professionalism, kind demeanor, and gentle detail are EXACTLY the reasons I came to you when I needed to search for a new practice after 30+ years. The Progressive Dental staff is always nice, polite, and Doctor Ball is so gentle. He really does a great job. 5 out of 5 rating for me!

This place rocks! I usually dread coming to the dentist, but the staff here makes it enjoyable! They are always pleasant and make sure you are taken care of. Definitely recommend! 5 stars!

Dr. Ball and the staff at Progressive Dental of Mechanicsville are a true joy. Everyone there is friendly, professional, and they make you feel right at home and truly cared for. I could not recommend a better dentist in the RVA area. Only a short trip from downtown. Well worth it.

Great practice all around. Friendly, professional, and easy to work in appointments around a busy schedule. Also a great place to bring children for check ups or for the first time. My two year old daughter had such a great time that she still talks about it!

As far as I’m concerned, there is no better, more friends, and more professional and knowledgeable dental office than this one!! If you are afraid of dentists like I have always been, this is the place to try for the whole family. Dr. Ball is extremely gentle, caring, and looks out for your best interest. My son, who has a disability has always needed sedation, but not here! They even know you by first name, and have later hours. Many of my co-workers who were referred are very happy they came…so should you.

Dr. Ball and his staff are excellent! I have never felt in better hands in their care for all my dental needs. Not only are they professional but they are genuinely caring and kind. I leave feeling more like a friend than just a patient. Thanks to them for all they do.

I started going to this practice about four years ago when my previous dentist retired, and right from my very first visit, I found him knowledgeable, thorough and an excellent diagnostician.

The entire atmosphere in his office is very comfortable and relaxing.  Dr. Ball and his staff will go out of their way to make sure their patients get the best possible care and treatment.

Tammy, the Practice Administrator, is cheerful, welcoming and always greets you like a friend.

This is one awesome practice which rates a 5+ (out of 5) in my book!

I had a great first visit at Progressive Dental! I really felt like the staff went above and beyond to create a safe, clean environment during this pandemic. The office itself is very modern and well maintained. My hygienist was thorough, patient, and kind. I could tell that she was passionate about her job. The dentist, Dr. Ball, was personable and took the time to really answer my questions. I know that it can be difficult to find a good dentist, and especially hard to find one with a great staff! I look forward to going back.
